‘A Project too far’?
This is a collection of basically new manufactured parts together, with assembly fixtures, the residue from a business operating in the Oxfordshire area in the late 1980s though to the mid 1990s.
The ‘aircraft’ comprise I believe the crash remains from two mid air collisions.
Without question aviation archaeological digs will provide the seedcorn for reconstructions within the next two decades. There are crash remains and there are crash remains, whether this is ‘A Project too far’ will be interesting to watch.
Needless to say the vendor is getting publicity for his wares. We are talking about it here. An eBay sale isn’t necessarily the end game.

I received e-mails from someone about two “Spitfire 5s” (their words, not mine) they had for sale, in bits, with everything needed to restore them. I inquired further and had a vast list of parts sent to me, along with the serial numbers which are mentioned on the listing. Mark12 asked for this info so I sent it on to him.

That’s quite surreal – have a look at what he’s sold before. Cow milk jug, Butterfly brooch (20p!), Epson ink cartridges, 2 Spitfires…

Where’s that lottery ticket?
