Back on topic there was talk of two Mk1’s and a Seafire II awaiting restoration in the UK, I believe one of the Mk1’s even got registered as G-MKIA, however since then it’s all gone quiet

The remains of one were recovered by the BBC’s Time Team; I believe it was Paul Klipsch’s machine, ex-92 Squadron shot down 10th May 1940 around St Evre, but I don’t believe it will be going for restoration.
AR213 is being fully restored by PPS at Booker, sorry, Wycombe Air Park. One of our forum members has been working on it for some time and had previously said it was a ground up rebuild and therefore a lot of work, which is probably why he doesn’t have time to post any more… 😉
