A Spitfire's Story

Would anyone happen to have, or know where I can get, a copy of the documentary A Spitfire’s Story (which was on Discovery Wings last night, but I forgot to tape it! 😡 )??

I’ll try and keep my eyes open for it. Pity it seems we’re unlikely to see it on DVD, though 🙁

Might be worth trying E-bay, I suppose, although every Spitfire video/DVD that I have seems to pop up on there!! :rolleyes:

I believe Steve Connor was working on a DVD release a while back with extra footage and stuff.

But as we haven’t heard anymore about it and with the sad closing of his site, he might he might not be releasing it any more. :confused:

Shame, as he was mentioned that the ‘Flight In A Blenhiem’ would also be making it on to DVD as well as some of those classic “Flying Machine” Airshow videos from yesteryear as well! 🙁

In the meantime, you’ll probably be best doing what MOTF says as they have been showing it a lot recently!

Or maybe you’ll find the original video (better than the TV version IMHO) somewhere.

What I caught of it last night had MH434 being put through her paces by Mr Hanna. Such a good thing to watch before going to bed! 😀

Its a cracking documentary, well worth seeing again and again and again and again

I’ll try to look out for it again then….

If its on Disco Wings you can be sure of two things
1. Its repeated 3 times nightly
2. it’ll be on again in a couple of weeks.

Does this channel have any original programming?
