How about some RCN marked warbirds? N232J at Hamilton, Ontario, Canada when owned by Bill Sims and then at Blue Ash, Ohio when owned by Ron Runyan.

“Quality is so-so but they might interest somebody.”
Have you ever posted a pic that didn’t interest somebody Mark ? thanks for posting.

Ah the Sabre-Fury, all that power, surely the ultimate piston fighter if it had gone into production ?

Being a ‘hotrodder/dragracer’ (cars) , I fully appreciate the ‘hotrodded’ Fury’s , R-4360 + Fury Ummm !! ‘Critical Mass’ being my favourite ( even though it’s only got a R-3350).

6 Fury racers in the link below, info on some probably a little out of date now

Sorry Stringbag,Baby Gorilla was purchased by Paul Morgan and flown until his unfortunate loss in it.Paul was,I believe, looking into the remanufacture of sleeves which is the critical shortage with the Centaurus so I guess this has stopped. There must be some sort of supply around as most Furies have been converted to R-3350,what did TFC use?Cheers,Pete

Here is a shot of G-FURY at Seething airfield in Norfolk 1981 about a fortnight before its demise,

Steve

I take it those fantastic smokewinders weren’t on for very long then?

I do believe I recognise the gentleman in the Iraqi painted Fury at Duxford in September of 93 😎

Any chance of a higher res. copy for my own logbook Tempestnut?
