Not sure, but I “think” it’s a FEW Mustang. It’s Australian-built, anyway (can’t recall the owner’s name, but it’ll come to me eventually!)

I really like that Mustang alot. The “Bald Eagle” scheme is one of my favorites. From the photo I can’t really tell whether it’s a Stewart S-51, or a F.E.W. Mustang. Those are the only two scale replicas that come anywhere close to capturing the proper look of the original.

If you’re interested I can forward the article about it from the Canadian “Recreational Flyer” magazine.

Wow, excellent. It’d great to see so much talent not going to waste.

Nope, fully-functional, and carved by the builder, Ross Ferguson, himself.

A total own-design job from start to finish, including the propeller hub, right down to the wheel hubs!

It is very nice, definitely.
Is the 4-bladed prop there for show or actually functional ?

I think that first pic is an earlier one, as this one clearly shows it fitted with cannon, yet supposedly this pic was taken before it first flew!

…and perhaps painted it PRU Blue?

Mark

I agree.
It does look like it was based on the Mark 19,..perhaps the RR one 😉

If you put a 5-bladed prop on that Spitfire and took the photo from a little bit further away then you would be hard pressed to tell it from a real one.TNZ

I have to say the replicas are getting better and better at present.

Also that P-51 is damn good too 🙂

Not bad Daz. It is one of the nicest resized spits I’ve seen. I do believe you would love to have one, don’t you! 😉
