i agree with you Flood, but saying that i read someplace that the ground crews during WW2 used to polish the bare metal P51’s as they gained about 15mph over an un-polished one.

Nice, but it has reminded me of a question I had a while ago – they are very nice and probably fairly easy to maintain, but are near-mirror finishes accurate? I believe there was something like a best-in-show Mustang that had a mirror finish a few years ago and when you think of the dedication put in to making the thing as near as damnit stock then why (possibly) screw it up making it shiny?
Or is it just me?
