Dan, she’s a fine ship. Would love to try her off a carrier. I tip my hat to those that did. We are indeed priveleged to be part of this living history…

Hi All

Dan I am doing a Seafire Mk XV in SE Pacific markings but either the all blue or Cammo will be fine with me

Here is a copy of the Avenger shot I took a couple of weeks ago – you can see why I was attracted to your great artwork !!

I can´t comment on markings and tail hooks – but from an illustrators point of view, it looks rather flat – that little shadow along the bottom isn´t anywhere near enough – it wants to start from nearly halfway up. Be brave and go in much harder with the shading and highlights and try to make it look more rounded. Don´t be afraid to go too far with it – thats when it´ll start to take on some shape. (Just be sure and save a copy first!!)

Hope this helps.

cheers

Dan is the man,,,,,very good job.

I’ll copy it [with your permission of course] and place it next to the photos of my aircraft. Owning and flying the Avenger has been one of life’s great experiences for me…nearly took Glenn Close flying in it when I had the aircraft in the remake of the movie “South Pacific”…better than that I’ve flown my wife [who’s from Atlanta] and is a real [I]Georgia Peach..

Please use it. That’s what I did it for 🙂

Hi Dan

Great profile – we have one of these flying here in Queensland and i compared this to some photos i took of it and it is now spot on from my perspective.

I am doing a Mk XV Seafire at present – don’t know where I can get some profiles do you ?

Regards
John Parker

Sounds like a good excuse to finally do a Seafire XV. What markings? 🙂

 Hi Dan, fantastic. For the purist, the national insignia slopes down a few degrees as it follows the fuselage contours. Also the TBM3E has the ventral gun position deleted. The tail hook on 91110 is external as well although not currently fitted to the aircraft.

Thanks for the corrections. Shouldn’t be too tough to fix.
