Well, as there are relatively few MJ10s about, and those that are around have rather different engines in them, performance specs are going to vary rather a lot!!

The first one has a 200hp air-cooled ranger in it. It was built by Jerry Kramer and had a forced landing due to engine heating probs after about 15 hours flying 🙁 Think it’s OK now, though, although no idea of its whereabouts.

The second I’m not so sure about, but probably another air-cooled job judging by the nose profile.

The third Spit has an air-cooled Ranger again – and inward retracting gear. Mind you, this isn’t a Jurca Spit.

The fourth in this range was destined to be a flier, and by the looks of things had a liquid-cooled engine.

The MkXIV had a V8, I’m sure, but crashed due to problems with the builder-designed fuel system.

Thanks for that Daz, 6.7litre V8 chevvy and 2.4m variable pitch MT prop, sounds like the performance will be impressive, to go with the looks.

Off the top of my head, a Chevy V8. The Haug family’s site has a lote more info on it (unfortunately in French, but that’s where Google comes in handy! ;))

No performance specs at the mo – probably going to be a while before I hear about them. I intend to get in touch with Stephane Haug and grill him until he’s sick of it! 😉

Thanks for sharing this great news DazDaMan… and congrats to the Haug Family!

What a reward the first flight must be after so many years and hours put on the beast. Always a pleasure to see one of Marcel’s designs gracing the skies.

Cheers,

Jacques.
