What ever happened to Doug Arnolds collection of aircraft especially the Spitfires XVIII SM969 and Spitfire IX NH238 are they still in the UK under rebuild or are they overseas ? I would appreciate it, if someone could help me with this question

Have a look in the latest W&R…
To Greenham Common (all by 2/04 unless noted):-
P40N N9950
TF51D N7098V
Spitfire NH238
Spitfire RW386
PT19 N33870 (arr 21/1/04)
Lancaster G-29-1 (nose) (arr 21/1/04)
Spitfire SM969 went to JME Aviation at Martham, Norfolk, by 9/03.
P51D NL314BG and Wildcat N909WJ both went to America by 8/03 at the latest.
Nothing on the razorback P47 which was rumoured to be in an ISO container.
All according to Wrecks and Relics 19, of course.

eddy,
They are both in crates at North Weald or possibly now Greenham Common I believe.
Not under restoration any longer as they were both completed a while ago! 🙂
Cheers
