Yes, Peter

That’s the main electrical panel. I got it from e-bay but needs a lot of TLC (tender loving care) but is one thing you cannot ever think of of finding. So that’s why I keep hoping for a throttle box.

I Don’t expect a complete throttle box to be recovered from any aircraft that came in hard contact with mother earth at 400 mph. Perhaps a chinese puzzle or a collection of badly broken bits.

The thread was actually started out just to test the posting of pic’s that’s why the confusing caption was used.

Cheerio

Panels looking great Cees!

What is the large panel to the left of the control wheel? Main electrical panel??
Please feel free to post up more pics of the recoveries. Who knows maybe a complete throttle quadrant will show up when the excavate LV905?

Halifax cockpit section

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your comment. I aim to build the cockpit compartment with flight engineers section (only) because of the space needed. And it needs to be an affordable project spread over many years as well.

Cheers

Bump, amazing work Cees, it’s a shame you didnt list this under a better title than ‘testing, testing’. I think many people won’t have looked at it not realising the fantastic work on show inside.

Are you building an entire nose or the cockpit? If the answer is the former then are some nice Halibags with nose art to choose from.

best regards, steve

Just getting the hang of posting photo’s, here is one more. If anyone is interested I can post some pics of past recoveries in Holland as well.

Yes please, Cees.

The panels look great by the way!

Paul

Something to sit on. This is the seat frame for the wireless operators seat.

I guess they work. But to find out you’ll need the rest of the Halifax, won’t you? 😉
