Thanks for the info gents.
When the thread on a possible Sunderland in Windermere was prominent ,I was reading a book on Sunderlands and noted how many were sunk or crashed landing at their bases. Pembroke Dock in Wales and Wig bay in Scotland featured and must still have many wrecks. A number were scuttled in Wig Bay! Although the ‘boats were treated against corrosion I don’t expect much would be useful after 60 years in salt water.
