I promised last week, here are some pictures from museums visited while on holiday in Canada. I posted some from Canadian Warplane Heritage in another thread last week. Unfortunately the last two times I’ve tried doing this, I’ve had problems with the manage attachments and then get a database error – wonder if they’re linked.
Thought I’d try submitting the thread first then adding the photos – just in case!

Hi Papa,
It’s a W-34. Try: http://www.aviation.technomuses.ca/collections/artifacts/aircraft/JunkersW34f-fi.shtml
The museum website: is great once you get to grips with it. Lots of pics and info.
Cheers / Salut

Any details about the Junkers on floats? Is it a W.33?

I work at the CFB Trenton air base where the RCAF museum is located (my office is about 100 meters from the nose of the Hurricane). I have pictures of all the aircraft if anyone is interested. I took a bunch yesterday and today. And yes indeed, the Halifax is very nice to visit. No restrictions walking around the shop and talking to all the volunteers working on it… I can post several pictures of this as well should anyone be interested.
Here is a little montage of the Spitfire and Hurricane… (These two are full scale replicas by the way).

Shame the Beaufighter is sitting outside. Will this go indoors on completion of the extension work? Nice pictures by the way.
Regards,
Paul

and finally…
Sorry abut the quality of these but I had to scan them in as it was rather dark in the storage area so I’m not sure how they would have come out on the digi plus my battery had gone anyway!
Unfortunately the Beaufighter is outside and you can’t get too close (as you can see from the fence) as it is next to a live runway.
Probably enough but if anyone want’s to see anything else specifically, just ask.

Next batch are from Canadia Aviation Museum. Well organised and laid out museum. All the aircraft are grouped into themes. Much of their interesting stuff is in the storage area though at the back of the building. However, after asking very nicely I was allowed over the barriers to have a walk round and get some better pictures. They’re currently building an extension, so hopefully some of them will be more accessible once it’s finisghed.

First are from RCAF Memorial at Tremton. Halifax restoration is well worth seeing. There are no restrictions in the workshop (at least not when I was there), which means you can walk right round the aircraft and get up close to the work.
