Looking decidedly 'together'!

Won’t be long before we see that familiar exhaust trail in the sky.

Taken today at Duxford.

F-86 and Fury, Oshkosh 2003

A litle more smoke than usual, I surmise!

Bit more feedback for you:

F86 was taxied down to the western end of Duxford yesterday for high power engine runs. Call an airshow near you and demand that the F86 be booked NOW!!!

Anyone know of the timescales for it being back in the air. I’ve always manged to miss seeing it fly and it’s listed as a participant for East Fortune. From memory it had been due there before but ended up being replaced by the T-33 – not quite the same!

I hope so. It is a lovely sight to see that exaust trail from the F86. It would be nice to see it again. 🙂

This is good news Tbirdman!

Hmmnnn….always liked the Sabre, a true warbird in every sense. Pity there’s only the one example over here, I well remember the cracking 3 ship (or was it 4..?) F-86 take-off/display at the USAF Golden Anniversary show at Nellis…. 😀

(TBirdman might as well if my memory and suspicions are right of course 😉 )

Love to see an operator over here with a Canadair version painted up in RAFG markings……hmmnn, 112 Sqn. with sharks mouth…… 😀

Worrisit? Pic won’t load.

Edit
Typical. I post asking a question and the reload brings the picture up. As, I think, the only airworthy F86-A around, I assume it’s the one I saw at Coventry last year. I’ve never been a fan but it was impressive, an excellent smooth display.
Mrs DHfan thought it was great, but what does she know.

That is very good to see!

At the ARC/HFL day it was indeed looking very far from airworthy….

Heavy maintenance that dragged on a bit waiting for spares. Those that attended the HFL/ARC Open Day will recollect it was looking decidedly ‘modular’!
