208 Sqn Camel code – help needed

A friend researching Camels is trying to identify the code letter of 208 Sqn’s D1889 in which Lt W O Carveth was shot down on 25 July 1918, becoming a PoW.
Can you help?

208Sqn RAF is/was apparently known as ‘Navy 8’, formed from 8Sqn, RNAS, on 1/4/1918 when the RNAS and RFC were joined and as such fits into the remit of that book.

Its not in Air Britains Royal Navy Aircraft Serials and Units 1911-1919. No codes at all, in fact…
