The dispersal was used by people learning to drive. This was later blocked off with a fallen tree and some boulders, most of the diepersal can stil be seen but is well enclosed with trees. In the 80s the local council decided to clear the airfield. The hangar was taken down as well as one or two buildings. The rest was oddly railed off leaving the hotch-potch mess it is today.
