TB252 is actually registered as N752TB.

It was purchased by Tony Banta in June 2002 and shipped to Avspecs in New Zealand. It remained in storage until September 2003 when work resumed on it. Currently plans are for it to be completed sometime around July 2005 at which time it will return to the U.S.

It is being rebuilt 100% stock – no americanization of systems etc… Modern radios will be hidden. I’ve seen the project and its absolutely beautiful – one of the nicest Spitfires you’ll ever see. It will be finished in one of its original paint schemes.

Dosn’t anybody do any work around here?

Yup. This forum takes a lot of graft from some dedicated individuals.

Lucky we aren’t paying for it. Everyone would be goofing off and doing the day job instead! 😀

I may be off the mark here seeing as I am no Spitfire expert but I believe TB252 was sold to an American owner and is now under restoration in New Zealand.
