In January 1921, the Honduran goverment acquired a Bristol F.2B Fighter (Type 14) from Mexico, however, in 1924, the aircraft was lost in a hangar fire. Unfortunatelly, there are no records available that would identify a serial or manufacturer’s serial number of the aircraft.
As a member of the Museo del Aire de Honduras (Air Museum of Honduras), I am interested in whatever information may be available about F.2Bs acquired by Mexico, other Latin American countries, or the U.S.A. after WWI.
Better yet, obtain historical information (such as whereabouts, serial numbers, etc.) of those produced (about 5,308) by the manufacturer of the aircraft, The British and Colonial Aeroplane Company, Ltd. (later, Bristol).
Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Our museum owns the historic last propeller driven aircraft (Vought F4U-5N Corsair) to have shot down another propeller driven aircraft (Cavalier F-51D Mustang). In fact, this same aircraft (BuNo. 124715) also shot down two Goodyear FG-1Ds, on the same day, July 17, 1969.

Check out the Air Britain website (a Google search or someone here might help you find the URL) as I am sure they did an entire book on the aircraft used by all Central American air forces.
