The Famous Watson Lake Lincoln

Just received permission to post the pics of the Lincoln Bomber remains in Watson Lake Yukon. There is quite a bit of the aircraft intact inluding a large fusleage section with wing sections and engine remains. Some parts are still in the lake along with the tail section.

First a pic of the fuselage section. Look close and you can see the hydraulic drive mechanism for the flaps this is looking from top turret forward to cockpit.

Given that the cause was apparently fuel flow problems, the name of the pilot, Flight Lieutenant J F Fewell seems appropriate!

Hi guys.
The crew all survived the aircraft ditched in watson lake. Most of it was recovered for examination to the cause and once that was done she was sumped at the edge of the lake.
