Hunters at RAF Newton

When i was in the ATC we used to go flying at RAF Newton and i recal seeing two hunters their. One on the gate and one lying on the airfield.
Does anyone know what happened to them?

I also remember a silver Lightning twin stick which now flies for a living. Plus a twin engined prop job that was used by the police dog school or something like that. Anybody know what it was or where it is now?

Looking in Wrecks and Relics, the Hunter F.1 was WT694. It is now on display in the Caernarfon(?) Museum.

I was stationed at Newton in 1980/81 and remember most of these well.

The twin engined prop-job was a Varsity, which I am pretty sure was scrapped on site. The same fate befell the Hunter that lived out on the airfield, and the ex.Boscombe Down Canberra that was with it. The Hunter on the gate was an F.1 and was in 43 Squadron colours. All my records are at home, and I am writing this message at work, so I cannot quote exact details at the moment.

I hope this helps.
