So what would be the minimum number of posts required before I would qualify for one of these Avatar thingies???? :confused:

I did have the custom avatar option before the upgrade (before I’d even posted) but didn’t use it.

Now its gone 🙁

In true Blue Peter fashion, here’s one I prepared earlier:

don’t see that, no custom avatar box! Just checked with my old ken_murray account, and the box is there. Looks like there is a minimum number of posts required greater than the old system (same for custom title)

Welcome to the Forum Steve.

If you want to add an avatar, you’ll need an image that’s 75 pixels square or less or less than 19.5k in size.

From the Edit Avatar screen, click on Use Custom Avatar and hit the browse button to locate the file on your hard drive and click on the “Save Changes” button. That should do the trick.

Thanks for the detailed idiot proof explanation Robbo, I think that even I can get to grips with it now. However, looking at the screen you posted, I only get the top part of the field which says about not having avatar selected. I don’t get all the stuff about browsing and pixel sizes. Maybe this backs up Moggy’s point about me being an F.N.G..or something like that.. 🙂
