Certainly will miss the team, it was something very, Very special indeed.
Well done to OFMC for putting such a big smile on my face over the last couple of years!

I agree they were amazing and something so different i would have loved to have seen the last show at Wannaka but at least i did see there last European show at Duxford and that memory will stick with me for years.

Excellent news, back home for good. I was at Motat yesterday and mentioned the Corsair to the curator Bill Rayner. He still seemed bitter that it was not still at Motat – there had been a huge ownership row and court case over it pre-OFMC days where it was removed from Motat by one of the guys who’d recovered and placed it there, and it was sold onto the USA. In the long run a good move as it’s back and it flies! And between times it has thrilled hundreds of thousands round the world.

And it’s in the North Island, yey, may see it at Ardmore then. And it might be worth the trip to the next Masterton air show too. Is Ray Hanna still the owner? I had heard when it arrived here it was up for sale but that was a rumour.

By the way… a quote from that xtra report
“This year’s Warbirds over Wanaka Airshow is being touted the best in its nine-year history. “

Warbirds over Wanaka began as a bi-annual event in 1988, that’s 16 years! There have been nine WoW airshows, that’s what they meant!
