Chipmunk

I’ve been told Ormond Haydon-Baillie had a Chipmunk & that it is still airworthy.
Anyone know which one & where it is?

Nope ! That is G-BNZC formerly G-ROYS which is at Shuttleworth.
The Ormond machine was in a silver and red scheme RAF scheme.

No the yellow RCAF Chippie is G-BNZC and now with Shuttleworth. Graham’s Chippie was in Silver RAF markings.

It was G-BCYJ which was with Graham Warner in the 1980’s and spent many years in Scotland after that. It was at Spanhoe Lodge
about two years ago for a refurbish into a new scheme . I believe
she may have been exported to South Africa.
Going back to Ormond I doubt if he flew it very much if at all.
It was stored for a long while at Duxford.

It’s the one that Graham Warner had during the 80’s, when I get back home I will look it up and let you know unless I’m beaten to it. IIRC there may have been more thasn one though.
