New Build YAK-9s

Saw a recent copy of Pilot Mag, which stated that 2 brand new YAK-9s were being built in Lithuania for UK customers.. Maxi Gainza was one mentioned, but the other owner was not. Could this be an aircraft for a Duxford based operator? Be interesting to find out whether the aircraft will be operated on the UK register or not???

So would I, thats one of the reasons for the question. As ‘New build’ aircraft, do they qualify for operating on a Permit to Fly, or do they have to conform to any standard Cert of Airworthiness?

I believe the second one will be for an owner based in the South of England when it finally arrives.
