Dayton Show 2003

Encouraged by your remarks, Steiglitz, here are a few pix from the Dayton Air Show. Please note that I am an amateur aircraft photographer, and these were my first photos at any air show, with a brand new camera (Olympus 10 x zoom digital)
I have now upgraded to a Minolta Dimage A1 for this year’s USA trip!

Nice pics for such a camera. The B-17 and the waco do look heavenly.

The fireball from the P51C is nice. Maybe you can post this pic in Dave Homewood’s thread : The best airshow airfield attack.

Finally, this was in my opinion the most fantastic performer in the display – the Jet Waco with a J85 turbojet stuck underneath – I wonder how the wings stayed on!

This is one of my favourites, the rivets caught the sun beautifully – you should see the hi-res version!
