Royal Navy Dream Formation?

What chance a formation sortie with a RN schemed Sea Fury FB.11 – Firefly AS.6 and the Seafire FR.47 post restoration in the U.S ? This must be the perfect FAA group !

Hi All
Hawker Nimrod from Duxford and drag that replica Flycatcher out of Yeovilton and put it back in the air where it belongs.
However if this is a real dream.
Blackburn Baffin, Ripon and Shark three ship fly-by
followed by Avro Bison, Blackburn Blackburn and the Parnall fleet spotter (name escapes me at this time of day) followed by Fairey IIID, Fairey IIIF and Fairey Seal.
Anymore??
Andy

What about them, they were only used to keep the deck crew cool anyway 🙂

…er hep hem…

And may I put in a plea for a much loved, much neglected, much more likely (to fly than many of the above!) and much more important (than many of the above too!) aircraft designed by one R J Mitchell; that flew in RN, RAN, RCN, RAF, RAAF, French, Argentinian and Turkish service, saved more lives than the rest we’ve mentioned, may I present, awaiting your money, the incredible, the odd, the highly seaworthy and with the best nickname, Supermarine Walrus G-RNLI.

I thank you!

The more than slightly biassed…

Where’s the Sea Venom? There is (or was) one flying in the US.

To be followed by the Sea Vixen, Scimitar, Buccaneer and Sea Hawk. Oh and put a Gannet in with the prop jobs. I nearly forgot, we need to find space to put the AEW Skyraider in there somehow

Would love to see that stick a fradu Hunter and an ex FAA F4 and we would be getting somewhere.

Mark – can you taste a decidedly FAA late forties/early fifties flavour to my dream formation? Lets have your dream !

What about a FAA Corsair in the group, huh? Where’s that!? Serious omission…..

Man, some people’s attempts at kids….
