Historic Flying Limited on TV tonight

For those living in East Anglia, an item appeared on BBC Look East abouth the Mark XIV and XVI that they want to sell, both looking resplendent in their post-war 41 Squadron colours. Also some short glimpses of T9 PV202 being rebuilt in Irish Air Corps colours. Although nice to see, it did remind me of the tragic accident that befell it at Goodwood a couple of years ago, although I don’t want to re-ignite the debate about rebuilding aircraft that were involved in fatal accidents.

Interestingly, Lee Proudfoot was interviewed, but I didn’t realise he was involved with that organisation – or was he interviewed simply as an expert interviewee?

ML407 not PV202

BWB,

I was surprised – but that is what the man said on the lunchtime edition.

I watched both the lunchtime and the evening footage – totally different shots, words and interview positions.

I was surprised this evening that they flashed a shot of PV202 post crash to illustrate the starting point for the rebuild as the former IAC 161.

First engine runs today according to the lunchtime interviewer.
