Since some of the members of this forum wrote letters of objection to the plans by Transco to build a gas compressor station next to the Museum of Flight at East Fortune, I thought you would like to know that Transco has withdrawn its application for planning permission. There were over 400 letters of objection which I’m sure played a part in the decision by the planning officials to recommend refusal of the application. Thanks to everyone who wrote and objected – for once a council planning department has made the right decision!
