Stearman Info Required

Hi,

I’m hoping somebody here can help with a couple of bits of information.

Does anyone know whether any USAF units in WWII used a Stearman in England during the war. If there is a photo about it would be fantastic.

Looking at the photo threads I am interested to see if anyone has any pictures of any current UK based Stearman, preferably with a 450hp engine.

Many Thanks

I would say there were non. Look at http://www.accident-report.com/UK/UK.html — they were either very save or just not there.

Does anyone know if the ex-Lindsay Walton Stearman is still in the UK? I think it was the only one in the country with a enclosed cockpit?
