Veteran meeting – Project Propeller

Calling all pilots … a date for your diary:

On Saturday 3rd July Project Propeller will be held at North Weald.

Those who have been before know how addictive this event is.

Volunteer pilots are sought to fly WWII veterans. Here is the synopsis taken from the website .

The basic premise of the Project Propeller scheme is to match up WWII RAF air crew with current pilots and to gather together for a day at a significant location. The project arranges for Air Crew and Pilots to meet up at a convenient local airfield, fly to the venue for the reunion, and then fly back home once the event comes to an close.

I had such a good time at Elvington last year with my two veterans, I’d thoroughly recommend it to anyone.

As I’m based at NW, I’ll probably try to get the Bulldog for the day and give some jollies to any vets who turn up without an aircraft.

I’ve heard nothing but good reports on this.

I’ll try and make it myself this year.

Cheers
