Here the first stage of my 1/48th F4U-1D’s engine…

How does it look like ? (The front’s painting isn’t finished yet)

One question though, to be sure that i understand correctly how that works. From the two pipes running out of every cylinder (in the back), one is brinning the air, and the other is the exhaust, right ?

Would someone have a colour pic or two from an engine that is in good condition (one that is actually mounted on a plane, in other terms). Just to see what is rusty, and what isn’t.
