Whats happening with the OFMC aircraft?

Which fighters are likely to be sold soon or have gone recently?

Be surprised if we see Ray doing much in the way of display flying in the UK anymore. How old is he now, mid 70’s(?), well deserved retirement. I think that we’ve seen the last of the best of the best….

yup …’tiz our gain;)

I think the P-40 looks absol briliiant in AVG markings.

We do have some great aircraft here in NZ at present,…but you ppl’s in the other hemisphere have certainly got some great ones still….I mean to say BBMF to name just one, taxi-ing Lanc as well…

I don’t think the P40 will ever return, as I’m told that there’s a problem with a lack of paperwork covering the restoration in NZ.

The UK’s loss is NZ’s gain.

Ray does have a place out there and it was his intention to retire from professional display flying and take a couple of planes to NZ.
I do hope they are coming back but i’m not holding my breath. I’ll just be happy to see them when i do.

Ray is from NZ so i think he just want to operate his Aircraft there,Really both the P40 and Corsair Belong there as thats where they both served, and La9 is partly NZ owned and was restored there.

OFMC aircraft

As far as I’m aware, nothing has been SOLD, just loaned to Wanaka for a while, possibly only for a year. Ray Hanna being a New Zealander has connections down there and he has loaned some of the fleet for their air show. Don’t worry, I’m sure we’ll see them back before long;)

Corsair and P-40 are at Ardmore, NZ now. La-9 is on the way. The Spitfire MH434 remains at Duxford as does the Mustang operated by OFMC.
