XT874 made a trip to Buntingthorpe on the back of a lorry, but the MOD wanted it scraped so it had to go to Stock. This was all that was left in 1995

The FG.1 in the foreground is indeed a former 111 Sqn machine, and the four visible tailfins in the background are, from left to right, 74 Sqn, 19 Sqn, 92 Sqn and 228 OCU.

Such a shame, always had a soft spot for the RAF Phantom ever since I got to sit in and play with the flight sim at Bruggen in the late 70’s whilst in the ATC
