Oh, goody this old chestnut.

Coupla suggestions Alex –
Before this thread’s going anywhere, some ‘homework!’:)

Buy / borrow some of Eric Brown’s Airlife books on testing W.W.II a/c. He flew almost all the frontline fighters, and in his book ‘Testing For Combat’ wrote up many of his thoughts. One of the few firsthand analysis rather than us folks talking from secondary souces.

Have a look (search) through the forum for this discussion before.

Geez, what I meant was would the Zero have been able to take the FW190 in a dogfight or did the Me109 have the edge over whatever Jap’ fighters it would have met?

I find my map pocket gets caught on the flap select lever on the 262 but to its credit the penholder is fully accessible in the yaw.
