I have a couple of 1950 dated British boost gauges which are calibrated up to +20 lb/sq”. Can anyone suggest what engine(s)/aircraft they might be relevant to?
They have “Fleetlands” stores tags on them so something naval would seem sensible 🙂 – Centaurus/Sea Fury or Griffon/Firefly maybe?
Any suggestions?

Hi
I wouldn’t have thought these gauges would have been suitable for a centaurus – late war spit boost gauges go up to 32 lb/sq” – a centaurus would almost certainly match that.
Perhaps they belong to something hercules powered? Best bet is to look in the pilots notes for various 50s aircraft.
