Monino, Moscow – Any interest?

Half dozen shots taken at Monino in May 2002.

A few hours spare, great weather, four rolls of film and just me, a local school party and half a dozen vicious looking dogs.

With film limitations I took basically one of everything except the full helicopter park and several of those that were of particular interest to me.

If there is any interest or special requests I can drip feed post the odd batch but you will have to bear with me as a large portion are of unknown type to me.

Voy Tech,

Utilising my amazing skills as a digital manipulator, I have edited said ‘two blokes’ and compensated for parallax. 😉

A BIG thank you Mark for posting all of those pics, that does look like one fantastic museum, is it the largest in the world ? (as in aircraft on display)
I to could spend days there, even though I’m not into Russian types & prefer props. It looks like ‘my’ sort of museum in so much as the A/C look used & not brand new & sterile as in some museums.

That is it.

Which just leaves me to say I hope fellow forum viewers found something of interest in this wander round this fantastic museum.

I had just the two hours – I could have spent two days there.

A big thank you to the museum director (on the left) for his hospitality and his kind words on my brochure which I am advised reads…..

“To Peter, lovely man and pilot, on the day of his visit to the Air
Force Museum at Monino, I wish you luck and clear sky, author and
war/military pilot” signed “V K…., 16 May 2002”

The final batch.

Here are a few sweeping up shots including some ‘other side’ views of aircraft of particular interest to me.
