Just noticed the part about a two-seat Spitfire, too! Funny, he told me it was a 90% scale replica….

There was a proposal of a similar set up some years ago using some classic 2 seat aircraft, other than an ad in Pilot it never got a great deal further in the press due to unforseen circumstances, however it was a genuine attempt to form a fantastic syndicate to operate some great aircraft (most of which had already been bought).
I know nothing of these guys, but I feel they should be given a chance.

I would imagine, though, that a set-up like this must have been waved under the noses of various aviation periodicals enough times for them to take the bait?
Even if it was just a proposal?

You’d be suprised whats going on out there that nobody knows about. There is always the possibility that a warbird is being worked on behind closed doors.

This was the guy who put an advertisement in “Pilot” a few months back, remember?
I’ve checked out the Spitfire “two-seater” replica with Supermarine in Australia, who’ve never heard of it, although the guy’s name rang a bell with them.
If the Mustang wasn’t registered, you’d still think we’d have heard something on the grapevine by now to make this thing even plausible??
