whenever I go to the big airshows at Duxford, there are always a group of camper vans parked up just to the left (as you look at it)of the American Air Museum. A friend has just purchased a six birth van and I like the idea od spending the whole weekend at Legends and being able to cook my own quality burgers and soak up the sun (fingers crossed) from the roof.
Does anyone know anything about this area. I suspect it maybe for volunteers rather than the public. Obviously, I will also e-mail Duxford but I thought I could pick your brains

Blue Volkswagen Camper van man thats a scene i can tell you,a quick rub of the chin and your in trouble often seen at DX going a bit rusty now and the camper van too.

I can’t speak for Duxford, but when our old ATC squadron managed the car parking at Old Warden in the late eighties, we had a specific parking area set aside for high-sided vehicles so that they wouldn’t necessarily obstruct the view of the flightline. In which case, your mate would be directed to park there anyway.
