Don't watch this

Wing Commander at 0030 tonight.

Unless, of course, you really do want to see what happened to some EE/BAC Lightning’s!!!

(At least I think this is the right movie – correct me if I’m wrong).

Yep, I knew it, it’s enough to make you cry!

Anyone (who ignored RobAnts advice) notice a Canberra cockpit being used too?
I don’t recall that mentioned before…

“Where are they now?”

I believe most if not all of the cockpits were sold on to private collectors, although alot of other components, particularly wings were chopped up by Marine Salvage. One cockpit section was cut in half so as the film makers could get some close up interior shots and it was then welded back together!I think there was a feature in Flypast about the guy who owns it a few months ago…

It does pose the question though, with better CGI will less historic airframes or parts thereof, survive lurking in the back of film studio props/scenery departments ?

Yep,you’ve got the right movie and no I’m not watching it. I managed to see quite a bit of it when it was on a few months back and they seem to have done a great job with the limited budget they were working with.Sci-Fi isn’t really my thing,so I didn’t stick with it,but from what I saw it seems to be a decent flick.
