I took this photo of a Canadair(?) T33 at Duxford in the ’70s and have no information on it. Any ideas?

The only Mustang i know to be missing is I-BILL. The last i heard was that the 2 Tempests were at Sandtoft.

I’m told you might find them if you go looking for missing Mustangs 😉

Don’t shoot me, I’m only the messenger.:)
I didn’t, and still apparently don’t, know where the Tempests are. Obviously certain people do, and I think it’s been mentioned here before, but I believe it’s not supposed to be public knowledge.
That link above was the first I’d heard of it.

There’s an A-7 and UH-1 Huey at a veteran’s memorial here where I go to school and a T-33 at the local airport all on static display.
I’m wondering if I can get some good photos of them all, could anyone find a way to tell me their respective stories?

David – you’re evidently forgetting that everything posted on the internet is true. Didn’t you know that?

Kennet did sell G-BVPP/’XR993′ during early 2003 to Red Gnat Ltd, but it is still looked after by Kennet at Weald.

The two Tempests are also at Hibaldstow. I may be doing somebody a grave injustice here but I seem to recall reading that visitors were not encouraged. Whether that means a scowl or escorted off the premises at alsation-point I wouldn’t know.
I would have put gunpoint but as everybody knows, they’re illegal so there aren’t any around.

What a sad aircraft, looked at it on Sunday, can’t see it flying any time soon.

I think i’ll have to pass on popping up there. Looks like a good 4.5 hour drive for me.

I’ve only ever flown over Hibaldstow, it’s around North Lincolnshire, not far to the west of Humberside airport. They do a lot of parachuting there I believe.

Where is Hibaldstow? Is it one of those secret establishments where no nosing about is allowed or would a friendly reception be met if visited?
By: Black Knight - 29th January 2004 at 17:16
Yes it’s me. I got signed out with my original username and after emailing the webmaster at least 30 times for my password and getting no reply i got a new e-mail address and thought i’d give myself a name to hide behind.
As you would have gathered i’m alittle interested in OHB and his toys. Still very little about. I would like to make contact with Wensley but no leads have come up yet. And i still want to know what’s happening with G-WGHB. I would have thought it to have been re-registered at least.

Maybe caught in the Norfolk snow whilst searching for missing Mustangs.

According to this
http://freespace.virgin.net/derek.blake/Airfield/lincs.htm
it’s at Hibaldstow – no further information.
Alexis Lambert (where’s he got to?) started a thread about it on WarbirdTorque in August with no response.

Surely someone knows about G-WGHB. How is this aircraft is progressing? I had heard that it was going to fly by the end of the year.
Anyone know what markings it will wear and have any photo’s?
