Hello guys and gals 🙂
I guess I should post this on the general discussion board but as most of my friends on the forum tend to congregate here…
Hope you all had a very Merry relaxing Christmas and got lots of lovely aviation themed presents not lots of socks…
My apologies to those of you who haven’t had a reply to messages/emails/letters etc, this is the first time I’ve been near a computer for nearly two weeks, having spent most of the Christmas period in bed with a horrendous bout of flu…managed to drag myself into work today and push a few film cans about but I think that’s my lot for the day!
Still, on the bright side, Mr Ashley and I were given a nice digital camera for Christmas which I got quite excited about…once I’ve worked out how to use it and upload the pics, I hope to be able to bring you some regular Duxford updates with pics…for some strange reason, Mr Ashley keeps reminding me that the camera is half his…something about me hogging it? 😉 Would I? 🙂
Well, I hope you all have a very Happy New Year (I’m certainly hoping 2004 is a better year than 2003)
Here’s to a happy and safe 2004 to us all 🙂
Becka
P.S. I will reply to those of you who are waiting to hear from me asap

I wondered where you were old girl. I was missing you. Glad you are recovering anyway.Best wishes to you two too (!) for 2004, and no doubt we’ll bump into each other again soon. Hope all is well, and as you said a month or so ago, as one door closes, another one opens – lets see what the 2004 door has behind it.

(Slightly concerned to see a Great Yarmouth inhabitant here. There goes the neighbourhood. And why is the word ‘Great’ in it, I never did understand that one!).
Not as concerned as I was seeing an oik from Lowestoft!!! I have to agree with you, though – there’s nothing Great about Yarmouth and hasn’t been since Austers stopped flying from North Denes in the late 60s (I fortunatley live outside Yarmouth)!!Still there was always the Bristows’ Whirlwinds on pontooons/floats and a Cessna 170 to fly around in in the 70s…… (sigh). Look forward to continiung chats on the Forum. Whole new world to me as I’ve only been a member for two weeks or so.

I’m a newcomer to the forum, but I certainly echo your thoughts about 2004 – I said a similar thing on a seperate thread. Thanks to all of you at Duxford for the pleasure you bring to us lesser mortals.

Obviously Mr Ashley hasn’t read the small print on your marriage cert, I quote.
“What’s yours is yours and what’s his is your’s as well”
I’m often reminded of this by Mrs EN830
Wishing you a Happy New Year from the Sunny Isle of Jersey
