A good friend of mine is building an R/C large scale model of a Supermaine Walrus. He is desperate to get in touch with **** Melton who was restoring, until recently, an original Walrus in Norfolk. The friend is Brian Bray who built several Pitts S1 and S2 variants in the 1980’s to a very high standard which got him the PFA concours d’elegance award a couple of times. If he could be persuaded he just might make the ideal guy to finish **** Melton’s excellent work so far. What a sight that would be on the airshow circuit in, say, 2006…..!!! Urgent responses please on ****’s current contact details.

Passed the G-INFO details to Brian Bray this morning. He is most grateful to you all. Thanks very much.
Cheers,

David Burke – Thanks a million – why did I not think of that route. Perhaps it is geriatricity creeping in.

Skybolt – The G-INFO database search will provide you with the address details you require for Supermarine Walrus G-RNLI with
Richard. I will get you a telephone number later in the day if you require that as well.

All I wanted was D*ck’s details but I will try the 192 suggestion unless someone can come up with the information rather than obtuse directions. I retired from the CAA some five and a half years ago and, though they pay my pension – for what it is worth, they now regard me as a poacher once more. They are absolutely right……….!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Trapper 69:confused:

Surely somebody of ‘Skybolts’ experience (see his profile) could use his CAA contacts to trace Mr Melton? Or has he paddled his Walrus across the Wash? 😀
mmitch.

Alternatively try the issue of FlyPast from a couple of months ago
which had all the contact details for the Walrus -or try the office
at Key.

Who is this man Richard Melto………..?????????? I must have been under the affluence last night. I live miles from Norfolk and do not know the exchange so it is a problem with directory enquiries even if I knew the address…….came in here before.
Anyway thanks for the advice – I will buzz off flying now as it is a gorgeous if breezy day. Cheers and Happy New Year.

Do you mean ****?
Have you tried the phone book?

Alright I surrender…!! Your PC gestapo has succeeded in emasculating my post. Richard Melton is known throughout the BBMF and historic aviation world as D**k and always will be despite your dire ****ing of his first name.
Curse you Black Baron………..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
