Here ya go. Spitfire XII EN224 EB-L during it’s relatively breif time with 41 Squadron just prior to D-Day 1944.
I’ve been trying to get better at these things. I think the Spits are starting to catch up to the 109E7 I did.
Good fun learning as I go 🙂
And you are right, at least from my experience. Photos of Squadron Spit XIIs are few and far between outside of the one big batch taken on April 12, 1944, focusing on MB882 EB-B.

Did a few Spits this week so just for fun and for your appraisal.
F/L Barney Newman’s Spitfire VIII from 79 Squadron RAAF in the summer of 1945. He has the Cross of Lorraine near the cockpit, apparently representing his time flying Spit XIIs with 41 Squadron in 43-44.
