Planes of Fame at Chino, California also offers rides in the Mustang as well as several other types. (AT-6, P-40, ?) There bird is not a dual control airplane but does have a second seat. Most Mustang restorations include a back seat so there must be at least one owner in the UK that is willing to offer a ride for a price, no?

It would obviously cost more to get there , but another possibility is the Olympic Flight Museum at Olympia , Washington State.
You can get a 20-25 minute flight in a Mustang for around $600 , which I believe is a lot cheaper than Kissimmee.
They have a web-site at http://www.olympicflightmuseum.com/.
George Pick Travel / Baes do tours to Olympia most years , their web-site is at http://www.baes.org.uk/

Ifyou can afford it – lash out for two tickets to Florida. Stallion 51 at Kissimee will take both of you up at the same time (they have two TF-51s). You get to fly them and can wave at each other whilst flying in formation. Fabulous but not cheap.
