Duxford Restorations – Completion Dates ?

I see from the latest Flypast that the restoration of the P51 Princess Elizabeth is due to be completed by Spring 2004.

Does anyone know what the target dates are for completion of the Gladiator, Sea Fury and Beaufighter ?

One for your detective skills, Ashley ?

Regarding the completion date for all the restoration projects at Duxford, I’m sure the people involved can tell you one thing for certain.

IT WILL FLY AFTER EASTER!

Exactly which easter, is not specified. The bottom line is, all these projects will fly when they are ready. Not before! There are so many things that can (and will, according to Murphy) go wrong and delay the roll out of the aircraft. Giving a timetable for roll out is nothing but an obtimistic guesswork.

You are not looking with your eyes or asking the right questions. Digby & Bentwingbomber seem to have their fingers on the pulse.

When there done…. Sea Furys looking good…. Beau doesnt seem to be progressing but I think that is cause I look at it every week and even if it is I don’t see it. However I am no expert, just like nosing.

Engineer doing that Harvard annual is doing a great job 🙂
