Heathrow TAF

Taken from the Met Office website:

EGLL 240610Z 240716 31008KT 9999 SCT030

To summarise:

Valid from 0700 to 1600 today
Wind 310degrees at 8knots
Visibility greater than 10k
Scattered cloud with a base at 3000feet
No significant weather.

With this wind I’d expect the Concorde arrivals to be on 27R, ie coming in from overhead London, landing towards the M25.

Hope this is of use to you.

If anyone see’s a young chap around 19 years old (in a black duffel coat) filming interviews with enthusiasts then come say hi, it will probably be me. Plus you can get your thoughts on camera about the retirement if you like. I shall be around most of the afternoon doing this.

Right, im off to the train station as i have the kings cross train to catch 🙂

Ill be there in spirit only sadly…..

Due to the cost I will be there in spirit. so…….

Well done Concorde you are the pride of british engineering and it is a damn shame to see you go. If it wasnt for the frence losing one and making a complete cockup of the investigation you would still be flying…
Metal strip my arse what about the 2700 feet of runway that was in poor shape and led to tire loss?!!
Rant over!!

All three will land on the northerly runway; depending on wind that’ll be 09L or 27R. I’ll check METARs in a bit and let you know what the forecast winds are.

Arrival times are 1450Z, 1452Z and 1454Z. (Zulu times are GMT, so for BST that’s 1550, 1552 and 1554)
