I think congratulations are due to Gerald Williams in the JP. That was his first ever display.

Fences are fences, I was outside it.

Stevie B,

Yep I was in that car, but I was the other guy packing a tiny Nikon F100 and short 200mm lens (with the cap on).

I saw you had TWO digital cameras, and in fact was a teensy bit jealous. Please email me some more of your fine photos. I have to wait until mine are developed…

Cheers, Jorgo.

Great shots mate! 🙂

I’ve never seen Miss D – one I’d really like to though. Best Hunter has to be the black 2 seater, saw it at the Cotty anniversary infact! That was a long time ago! 🙂

Started off inside the airfield, went for a coffee at AV8 (nice restaurant- The Mrs was happy in there too!), had a quick look round, not much happening, best bit was earwigging a row between some spotters & marshalls! After they put a load of spam cans infront of their encampment!! Then decided to go outside for better photo opportunities, below is a random choice straight out of the camera.

Jorgo, Think we were next to you in the layby, were you in a dark green Vectra? Were you packin’ Canon A2e and 100-400? We were in the blue 206 with no hub caps! with 2x 10D & 100-400.:)

Fences in themselves do not necessarily demark the edge of a property – however, if there is no public thoroughfare there should be signs to that effect.

Yes – it was a great day – and Miss Demeanor was just as good from within the show. Fotos later.

Security !!

What a great day. Paid my £10 then left after a half hour and went to the south side of the airfield – where the sun position made for better photos.

Jonathon Whaley and his Miss Demeanour Hunter flypasts were easily the highlight of the event !!

Didn’t enjoy being told by the roving security guy that I was tresspassing on property and the police would be called unless I crossed the road. I was on the outside of the fence.

All of these jets will be a first for me. The weather is looking good too !!

The Poachers scheme on the Gower Jets JP is superb.
Looking forward to seeing it again.

Just to keep you up to date the flying display at Kemble tomorrow will feature:

Hunter x2
Strikemaster
Canberra
Jet Provost
Vampire
Miss Demeanour

The Sea Vixen will be a flypast only as it is en-route back to Bournemouth. The Vampire is WZ507 and as far as I know has not featured in any “flying” display this year only as a static item. The Jet Provost display will also be the debut flying display for the Gower Jets’ aircraft in “The Poachers” markings. Along with the arrivals there are a few jet sorties planned for the morning featuring aircraft that are not in the flying display.

Okay – didn’t realise that there was something else I could attend – it’s a 5am start for me, to get there for 10, and I can’t really afford it – but I’ll be there.

Green Honda CRX (with my website address on the back).

Just put my cameras on charge.

And – right now – Discovery Wings are showing the Hunter Anniversary show held at Kemble a couple of years ago, right now.

Oh and if anybody wants to say “hello” – I’ll be wearing a polo or t-shirt with my logo on the left breast (as shownon left of this post). If the weathers cool, I’ll have on my Alpine Lowe coat, with Vulcan badge.

This is me.

Okay – here’s the cheeky bit – if anybody wants to offer me a flight, I’ve never been in a 2 seater anything (except Chipmunk and Sedburgh – and even then since about 1972) – and it was my birthday last weekend 😉 I would love the opportunity for an AE flight 😀

You’ll have to wait until Monday to see. The weather may prevent us flying in.
