Missing

Now this is curious, it seems that not only do real Mustang’s disappear around here, but also discussions about them seem to go the same way :p

Funny old world

Crikey, our webmaster is like a bus-you wait and wait and wait, and then loads come along at once!

Just kidding, it’s great to hear that this place is here to stay, and if they need to fiddle around a bit from a tech point of view, then so be it-we get a heck of a lot here for nowt’, and all power to them for that.

We may all have a whinge sometimes, but seriously, cheers Key.

Hi All,
Put me straight on this one! Is there a charge/fee/subscription cost to post on here?? I know I have never been charged anything, If there isn’t, then lets put up with the glitches that occur from time to time, after all it’s not life threatening, Is It? All this talk about If it gets any worse I’m going somewhere else, What is that all about? This Forum is FREE, accept it as such. If it’s not there one day It will probably be back the next so what’s the problem? Or, If it is a problem, send a donation for Key to get a larger server, someone has to pay.

Thanks Key Publishing for paying for US to have this FREE facility!
If we all think of this site as being like a free Airshow, we gain the use of it for no outlay, Sounds good to me!
Cheers
Geoff (hard hat on….GO!) 😉

Yes. Very cheeky indeed. Fortunately being ‘very cheeky’ is not illegal. 😉

Thats a bit cheeky isnt it Janie? Coming on here with potentioally untrue information then wanting Key to delay a server move?

Dear WM

Please (pretty please) can I make a teeny weeny request?

On 12 October its the Duxford airshow and we all like to have a good digital chinwag after the show. Any chance of you waiting until after 14 October before you switch, so that we are not left pawing the ground in frustration and getting restless nights sleep?

Thank you

The server has been puchased already, we are in the process of moving files across. I would estimate by the middle of October, there could be a 48-72 hour downtime of the forum associated with the move. However we will try our best to keep this to a minimum.

WM

Just to keep you all informed.

When the forum goes down it is usually due to heavy server usage, something we are addressing with a server upgrade.

Currently this board is exceeding our bandwidth at over 30 Gigs, so we are having to upgrade to a much more substantial hosting solution. The new server should be in place within the next month.

If anyone is having problems with the forum or have any questions then please contact me webmaster@keypublishing.com

Regards to any “rumours” about this board stopping they are merely rumours and nothing more, I would certainly be interested in where this information originated.

Regards,

WM

That would be a huge shame if it did get the plug pulled, this forum contains people with a huge wealth of information which where possible is shared freely amongst it’s members, as for where to go next, who knows.

I heard on the grapevine that this BB might die altogether. Don’t bother quizzing me about my source. My lips are sealed and it was just a remote suggestion that could easily have been a throwaway statement. Lets hope so.

The point is, if it should die altogether one day, without any warning, where do folks want to meet up. Avi8? Or are there better suggestions?

Mark V

That wouldn’t explain the whole BB crashing. I really dont care how the thread disappeared what I am getting annoyed about is the flakey old BB software keeps dying and Key arent communicating to us what they are doing about it.

As I said it doesn’t instill any faith in the company – to get subscriptions right etc – if they can’t keep a simple BB up and running.

Could have been the originator. If you delete the first post in a thread the whole thing goes!
