Ladies and Gentleman if anybody out there has knowledge of where I can find some Spitfire elevator ribs please contact me. We are trying to rebuild our elevator but do not have any drawings or original pieces that we can use as templates. Therefore if anybody knows where some original ribs that would be available for use by our project please let us know.

I’m just about to look through what I have but I do have a problem with ‘giving’ Information to folks for genuine restoration only to find it later being charged for elswhere If you catch my drift.

I don’t think you will find it there, unfortunately the search is not too specific & really unless you know the drawing number Spitfire drawings are a minefield! I will look tomorrow what info I can find for you, what are you going to use the drawing for? You know that the construction is really just ali tube & bent sheet joiners for the most part coming off a hinge spar.
