Hi

Not only is the cockpit small but try being in there with all your kit on for 30 mins to do a taxi run you sweat in places you didnt know you had places. I hate to think what it was like to fly a mission in her

Long live Lusty Lindy…..

Yes, that cockpit is incredibly small. There is one in Hendon. It is really impressive !

Frank wins.

Courtesy of Squadron Leader Alan Stephenson, a long time Victor pilot and one of the stalwart crew that keep Lusty Linda alive.

Astonishing how cramped the cockpit area is for such a huge aircraft.

But for me the best bits were tales of the life of Victor crews, both in the bomber and the tanker role.

Once again the truth is we spend a lot of time trying to preserve the aircraft, what we should really be concentrating equally on is preserving the living history. The memories of the crews.

Moggy
Thanks to all the Victor crew.

That’s one mighty Colt you’ve got if it needs a Mach-meter! Or have you been in something beefier recently?

And there was me thinking a ‘Studid Dwarf’ was a bit of body piercing paraphernalia! Oh well. 🙂

Sorry. Moggy. There’s always one, isn’t there…. (and I have to confess, more often than not, it’s me!)

” .. a stupid dwarf ” = singular = ” It isn’t clever”

” … stupid dwarves” = plural = “They aren’t clever”
