hey read this on flyvintage, duno if it is true or not, will be great if it is!
Anonymous writes German authorities have discovered a large number of WW2 German bombers buried in Bunkers under Berlin’s Schoenefeld airport. They are fully fueled, armed, and ready to go. It sounds like they are in mint condition and would make a wonderful restoration project.

The Silly Season – isn’t that what journalists call this time of year ?
Think this story proves it.

Didn`t we already have a thread on this? No “authorities” have made such a discovery, it has merely been speculated in a newspaper article that undergound installations might contain this. I wouldn’t get too excited about this….

Ready to go indeed. The batteries will be flat.
Of course, this is actually incredibly plausible – aircraft were assembled underground throughout the Reich. I do, however, think old Uncle Joe would have had all the bits and pieces hauled home for recycling / re-use rather than buried though. But there is definately stuff underground through, say, bombing raids closing tunnels.
